How I Will Travel - Part 2

Last week I blogged about how I expect my journey to the U.S. to go; more specifically, about my departure from The Netherlands. In this post, I'm going to blog about arriving in the U.S. and where to go from here. First things first though. To repeat what I said in my previous post...

ATTENTION! The following is just intended to get an idea of how things will go. No departure date has been determined as of the date I've published this post.

Since publishing my previous blog post, I found the following hints for when I book my flight:

Now that's out of the way, let me look into what I can do when I arrive.

I have received the offer to be collected from the airport. If only for my appreciation of backup plans, let me account for the possibility that this goes wrong. In such a case I would have to find transportation to the hotel.

I found the video embedded below to get information from, which seems to cover this quite nicely:

I managed to collect the following information from it, much of which will only be valid for Orlando International Airport:

Taxis should charge the same rate regardless of the number of passengers. Make sure the taxis use a taxi meter. Shared shuttles are a cheaper option than taxis that offer a door-to-door service, but they have many stops.

Check if the hotel offers a free shuttle from the airport.

I remember being given the advice to avoid hotel chains as they are more expensive, and the Hyatt Regency is such a hotel chain, right? That's too bad because it's right here at Orlando International Airport. Assuming I'll need to stay at a hotel, I'll need to find one that caters to people with disabilities, or at least wheelchair users.

This is the end of my rough...itinerary? It probably needs more detail, but it should suffice for now.

As always, I hope you enjoyed reading this blog post. If you have any questions or comments, then please let me know in the form down below.
